Timex Launches New Analog Watch with Steel and Leather Straps
Timex has released a new analog watch in India, priced at $125, featuring a 36mm case, 90‑gram weight, 30‑meter water resistance, and an INDIGLO back‑light.
Timex introduced the Main Street analog watch in the Indian market. The model is sold for 11,995 rupees, roughly $125.
Its design draws on late‑1970s Timex styles, with a black dial and protective mineral glass that give it a classic look.
The watch has a 36‑mm case, 13.8‑mm thickness, 90‑gram weight, and uses a standard quartz battery‑driven movement. The INDIGLO back‑light helps visibility in low light.
The packaging includes two strap options: a 18‑mm stainless‑steel “Perfect Fit” strap that adjusts without tools, and a black leather strap with a traditional buckle.
For designers, the combination of classic materials and a modular strap system offers a clear example of how to create a product that can be personalized and updated.
Watch for future releases that may expand on this approach, perhaps adding new colors, materials, or lighting features.
