Villas Raíces: Mountain Homes Designed to Blend with the Landscape
Villas Raíces is a set of mountain villas that were built to fit the terrain instead of forcing the land to accommodate them.
The project is located in a mountainous area, with the main goal of living in nature while minimizing environmental impact.
The architecture uses local materials and a low‑impact design. The land is incorporated naturally into the layout rather than being reshaped.
The villas feature large terraces, glass walls, and abundant natural light, creating a strong connection between inside and outside.
For designers, the project demonstrates sustainable design and environmental integration, offering lessons for similar projects.
This approach is expected to be adopted in future mountain residential developments, becoming a recognized model for sustainable architecture.
