Fight Club Final Scene Reimagined as a Cyberpunk 3D Animation
Wonki Choi used Blender to transform the final scene of Fight Club into a cyberpunk 3D animation.
Wonki Choi used Blender to create a cyberpunk 3D animation of the final scene from Fight Club. He reimagined the iconic moment where the narrator and Marla watch the city collapse.
The characters wear Dark Souls‑style metal helmets and grungy cyberpunk clothing. Camera angles, color palette, and lighting echo Alberto Mieglo’s work on Love, Death + Robots.
The animation blends realistic 3D environments with stylized 2D VFX for explosions, giving it a Love, Death + Robots vibe. Some viewers thought it was AI, but details such as the artist’s logo and a Korean flag patch show it was handcrafted.
Choi is a 3D generalist and commercial director. Earlier this month he entered the Gauntlet of Gods Community Challenge with a character called Hwarang 2077, which made the top 100 and will be included in the official card deck.
For designers and animators, the piece demonstrates how to mix realistic modeling with stylized effects and how to use Blender’s lighting to create a cinematic look. It also shows the importance of adding personal touches to signal authorship.
The animation is posted on 80 Level, and Choi’s Instagram contains more of his work. Other artists such as Kem, Ryan Dao, and Sergey Kovalenko have produced similar cyberpunk or Love, Death + Robots‑inspired pieces that are worth checking out.
