Motorola introduced the Signature 27 at its recent event, marking the first phone to house the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. This flagship chip is a new addition to Qualcomm’s lineup.

The camera system includes a 50‑megapixel main sensor using Sony’s Lytia 910 and LOFIC technology, paired with a 200‑megapixel telephoto lens. Similar sensors have appeared in devices like the VIVO X500 Pro Max, suggesting comparable performance.

Design-wise, the phone features a slim aluminum body in Pantone Coal Smoke and Capulet Olive colors. The back panel slopes gradually and hosts a “camera plane” with four lenses and a flash arranged in a curved, unusual layout.

Motorola also announced a seven‑year Android update commitment, a level of support rarely seen from the brand. The audio system, developed with Bang & Olufsen, is highlighted by a B&O logo next to the camera module.

Further details are expected later in 2026, with the device slated for release that same year. Designers and developers may look to explore how the new chip and design elements can be leveraged in their own projects.
