Dezeen Awards 2026: 152 Architecture Projects Shortlisted
The Dezeen Awards announced a shortlist of 152 architecture projects from 36 countries across 19 categories.
The shortlist features notable works by designers such as Dorte Mandrup, Farshid Moussavi, and Herzog & de Meuron.
Entries range from a UK country house with rammed‑earth walls to glass‑walled guesthouses in Ukraine and a mosque in Qatar with a perforated stone‑clad steel roof.
Other highlights include a Japanese office that reimagines machiya housing with breathing metal awnings and an Indian university building inspired by stepped wells.
The jury, made up of Annabelle Selldorf, Daniel Libeskind, Ma Yansong, Amanda Levete and Norman Foster, scored the projects in partnership with Trimble.
Winners will be announced live on 16 November at the Royal Opera House in London, after which the top project will compete for the title of Architecture Project of the Year. Designers, animators and builders can use the shortlist for inspiration and should watch for the interior and design shortlists coming next week.
