Casio rolled out three new watches—MTP‑SN4KD‑1A, MTP‑SN4KD‑2A, and MTP‑SN4KD‑7A—in India. Each model costs 4,995 rupees, roughly $52.

All watches share the same dimensions (50.5 × 41.2 mm) and thickness (8.15 mm), weighing 105 g. They are finished with a plated steel case and come with a stainless‑steel strap equipped with a three‑piece push‑lock, suitable for wrists 145–215 mm.

The protective mineral crystal resists everyday scratches, while a quartz movement powered by an SR621SW battery offers a two‑year lifespan and ±20 seconds per month accuracy. Water resistance is rated to 30 m (3 bar), enough for splashes and light rain.

The standout design feature is the multi‑plate dial that displays date, day of the week, and a 24‑hour time on three small sub‑dials. Although it lacks a chronograph function, the layout gives it a chronograph‑like appearance.

For designers, this product demonstrates how simple materials and a clean, multi‑plate interface can create an appealing, budget‑friendly watch. The interchangeable strap and plated case provide flexibility for aesthetic variations.

Looking ahead, Casio may continue the MTP line or release new models with similar concepts. Designers can watch for how this trend influences analog watch aesthetics and how it might inspire digital or hybrid time‑keeping interfaces.
