Nielsen Norman Group Announces December UX Conference
From Dec. 2–15, Nielsen Norman Group will host live virtual UX courses. Each course runs 3.5 hours over two days, led by experts and invited speakers. Participants can take up to five courses, pay per course, and earn a UX Certificate by passing the related exams.
The curriculum covers a wide range of topics: writing effective UX copy, responsible use of AI tools, creating cohesive cross‑channel experiences, foundational UX concepts, team management, product‑role collaboration, user research, leadership skills, data‑driven design decisions, AI strategy, component design, persuasion, group facilitation, strategic planning, study design, AI‑enhanced creativity, constraints handling, decision‑making apps, culture building, design ops, metrics, deep insights, AI product design, information architecture, delightful experiences, Agile user‑centered strategies, adoption, discovery, content strategy, stakeholder management, systematic analysis, and communication.
Each session requires attendance on both days, ensuring hands‑on practice and direct interaction with instructors. The flexible, pay‑per‑course model lets designers choose up to five courses that fit their learning goals.
Passing the exams for any five courses earns a UX Certificate, a credential that can boost credibility in the field. A specialty can be added by completing five courses in one topic, though it is optional.
For designers, animators, and builders, the event offers a chance to refresh best practices, learn how to integrate AI responsibly, and acquire practical skills that can be applied immediately in projects.
Watch for registration deadlines, regional session times, and available discounts based on the number of courses selected. The sessions will use Zoom for live video, collaborative tools for whiteboarding, and Slack for ongoing discussion.
